Our Firm’s History
Our Firm’s History
With the founding of Karni Law Firm, P.C. in July of 2007, consumer advocate and attorney, Dana Karni, has dedicated herself to educating consumers regarding their credit rights and other key topics of consumer law. Her professional legal experience includes actions in federal and state debt collection violations, defense of credit card suits, auto warranty and title situations, and deceptive trade practice issues. Ms. Karni’s office is located in Houston, Texas, and she handles consumer rights matters throughout the entire State of Texas.
She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center and is frequently sought after for television and newsprint interviews as well as public education forums in Texas, broadening her reach to those who need her most. On many occasions, Ms. Karni has been asked to speak at The People’s Law School, aimed at educating the public on their credit and debt collection rights. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, an organization of over 1500 consumer attorneys and advocates whose sole focus is consumer representation, never litigating on behalf of creditors, debt collectors, debt buyers, or banks.
Ms. Karni was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2004 and to several United States District Courts soon after. She earned her J.D. at Touro Law School in New York and her B.A. at The University of Texas in Austin.
